As per our last communication, we have deducted R685 from your fees, for the printing of the 1000 receipt slips on 25 May 2013 for your school.

Mr Tom and Lonwabo mentioned that over 200 individuals contributed to the amount. We are still waiting for the paperwork to confirm this and with our Legacy fee of R5 per individual, We Believe in Africa has deducted R1000 for your fees (200 x R5) for the month of May.

Nkazimlo Primary School currently has R6039.57 available for the school.

There are currently 2 Legend investing in the school.
Nkazimlo Primary School currently has a monthly income of R85.

Monday – I visited the following Primary Schools in Gugulethu: Sokhanyo Primary, Litha Primary, Luzuko Primary & Songeza Primary school. I spoke with the principal in search for an appointment so I can do a presentation on behalf of Africa Legacy.

Tuesday – I had a meeting with two businessmen from Khayelitsha, Mr Luvuyo & Lonwabo Rani they own a company called Silulo Ulutho. They referred me to the following schools in the area: Nkazimlo Primary, Yomelela Primary, Khayelitsha Primary & Chuma Primary.

Wednesday – I had a presentation at Luzuko Primary the principal and his deputy were present @ the meeting as one member of the SGB. The outcome of the meeting the principal was impressed and he would get back to me asap.

Thursday – I contacted the school in seeking appointments as to when we can meet as the plan is to at least start with one school in the Western Cape. Litha Primary invited me over and I spoke with the deputy principal she promised she would report to the headmaster of the school.

Friday – I made copies for my meeting for the following week and called Lonwabo Rani for an update on the school in Khayelitsha

REPORT BACK OF LAST WEEK

It was a very challenging week I must even if I must say so myself but managed to overcome it. The whole of last week my energy was at Nkazimlo Primary trying to get the school to sign so we can get on with the project ASAP. The principal took the decision upon herself to sign the agreement with one member of the SGB available, which has, coursed conflict of interest amongst staff members etc.

I had to go back to the drawing board and try to convince the principal to organize the meeting again with everyone available so I can present to them on a full scale. The principal had no problem in organizing that meeting, the meeting would be on the 18 March 2013 at 8 am in the morning.

I also made a brief communication with the Silulo brothers Luvuyo Rani and Lonwabo Rani as to what is happening at the school that they have referred me to.

I also had a brief meeting with Radio Zibonele with the same progress we are meeting at the school so they can help us get an interview with the principal and myself on air so we can promote the fundraising event we trying to do with the school as WBIA.

The school has identified two projects a library and a sports field that they want to undertake with WBIA and we the support of the school teachers we believe that we can achieve the goals that we have setup.

The last day of the week was spent preparing for Monday’s presentation making of copies and visiting the principal to strategies for Monday’s meeting and the approach I should use to win over the staff members and the SGB of the school.

REPORT BACK OF LAST WEEK 2013-03-18-22

The school has finally signed on the dotted line and the challenge now is to get 2500 people to sign up with Africa legacy. I started by giving the teachers and the SGB members the to be the 1st ones that sign up 1st as they say charity begins at home.

I have called the Silulo Ulutho brothers to inform them that we have signed up with Nkazimlo Primary school and they’ve identified a school hall as their 1st project of interest but left a message with the secretary still waiting on their feedback.

I visited the Radio Zibonela offices in search to get a radio interview so we can spread the word out in Khayelitsha and get people that can sign up for this beautiful project we are running, but I’m waiting on a confirmation call from the station as to when is the interview.

On the last Friday of the week on 24 March 2013, I was supposed to meet with the school principal and pick up the forms but she has not collected them from staff members and the school is closed until after the Easters.

Nkazimlo Primary School currently has a monthly income of R85.

We Believe in Africa paid for the printing of 1000 receipt slips on 25 May 2013 for Nkazimlo Primary School which amounted to R685. The money will be deducted from Nkazimlo Legacy Fee in the future.

We Believe in Africa’s internet and cell phone charges are split between the 3 schools currently registered with Legacy and work out to R12.71 for Nkazimlo Primary School.

We Believe in Africa has just registered to be a PBO (Public Benefit Organization) with the cost of R375, this will increase the attraction of Legacy to future investors, and current investors and offer all our Legends a cash-back incentive.  We have also shared the cost between the three school’s Legacy fees.

Below are the running costs incurred for the maintenance of We Believe in Africa, for March which the Eldridge Primary School’s (in Johannesburg) Legacy fees paid for as we look to raise funds for the school.

Please note that Eldridge Primary School covered the majority of this cost as Nkazimlo Primary School does not have enough funding to contribute to the full cost of Legacy.

Please note that as we bring more Legends in to support the school We Believe in Africa will cover the costs.
