We Believe in Africa was officially registered with the Department of Social Development on 1 August 2008 and has been operational in the community of Eldorado Park, in the southwest of Johannesburg. The organization has been piloting various programs and concepts with its pilot organization, We Believe in Eldorado Park between 2008 and 2010. In 2011, all attention and focus was placed on We Believe in Africa. By the year 2017, We Believe in Africa partnered up with Spaces for Youth.
In July 2011 We Believe in Africa launched “Legacy” in Eldorado Park at Eldridge Primary School and then expanded it to McBain Charles Primary School in November 2012 and in May 2013, it expanded into Nkazimlo Primary School in Khayelitsha, Western Cape.
