Update:

The Zuma intervention program, which was a result of the current drug situation in Eldorado Park assisted in painting the entire school. Mr Mansingh mentioned how incredibly sharp and urgent the intervention team was with working with his school and action on the needs at the school with immediate effect. (Please some of the newly painted buildings at McBain Charles Primary on)

The school is still awaiting feedback from the Lotto fund that the school applied for.
Mr Mansingh believes with the support of the Zuma intervention program could speed up the process for the school.

Hollard assisted the school during Mandela Day, by providing all the children with hot chocolate and the Hollard staff shared all the professional skills with the pupils and assist them with the school work task. Hollard also had a musician on the day to entertain all the learners.

Hollard and the Zuma intervention program are currently working on some of the needs of the school such as toilets, building a structure for shade at the school for the school assembly area and renovating the school tuckshop.

Darryl presents Mr Mansingh with feedback from the Bain and Company strategy meeting he had with the company and the developments in Cape Town. Mr Mansingh would like WBIA to focus on building a sports facility at the school as Nzamkilo Primary in Khayelitsha, Cape Town is focused on building a school hall.

Mr Mansingh mentioned that other schools like Kliptown High were once part of a committee to build a sporting facility and lost interest. Mr Mansingh also mentioned that high schools are currently under a lot of pressure to focus on school performance and end-of-year results.

2. Contact Zane Meas (Mobile number hidden)
   The presenter on 7de Laan visited the school on Mandela Day with Hollard and mentioned that he would be interested in assisting with developments at the school.
   Invite Zane to do a motivational talk at a teacher lunch at the school and also promote Legacy. See if Zane would be interested and what days he would be available to assist. The school would be available to have a teacher lunch between 13h30 – 14h30, between Tuesdays and Thursdays.
3. Darryl to confirm with Mr Mansingh if he can launch the student drawing aspect of the Sports Facility campaign with all the learners on Monday, 5 July 2013 at 7h45.
   To confirm with Mr Mansingh if he would be available on Thursday, 1^st August 2013
4. Darryl to speak to the board and raise funds for catering at the teacher lunch and campaign launch.
5. Arrange the event with Zane and the teacher and collect all the children’s drawings. Create a campaign around the dream of building sporting faculties with Legacy, inspire everyone to put up the children’s drawings everywhere to raise awareness and support from the parents and the community to attract funding.
6. Launch the campaign at the teacher’s lunch with Zane, the teachers and the media (Eldos FM, Eldos Buzz and Urban Times)
7. Darryl to use the campaign to rally support via Facebook for the school and its goal,
8. WBIA to look at profiling each Legend, a bit of their story and motivation for supporting Legacy.

We Believe in Eldorado Park’s internet and cell phone charges are split between the 3 schools currently registered with Legacy and work out to R52.40 for McBain Charles Primary School.

We Believe in Africa has just registered to be a PBO (Public Benefit Organization) with the cost of R375, this will increase the attraction of Legacy to future investors, and current investors and offer all our Legend’s a cash-back incentive.  We have also shared the cost between the three school’s Legacy fees.

We have hired an accountant to run an audit on our accounts and to assist us in balancing our accounts. In the spirit of We Believe in Africa and full transparency, we are happy to send you the full income statements from June 2011 to date.

Currently, there is an amount of R111.35 due for internet connections and cell phones for February and March which has been deducted from your account this month.

McBain Charles Primary School currently has R1129.33 available for the school.

With 4 legends investing in the school on a monthly basis.
The school currently has an estimated monthly income of R240.

Below is the running costs incurred for the maintenance of We Believe in Eldorado Park for the month of March, which the school’s Legacy fees paid for as we look to raise funds for the school.

We Believe in Eldorado Park (Africa).

McBain Charles Primary School currently has R 1000.68 available for the school.

There are currently 4 Legends investing in the school. McBain Charles School currently has an estimated monthly income of R222.38.

Since McBain Charles signed with We Believe in Africa on the 17^th of September 2012,

Legacy officially started on the 1^st of October with receiving funds for the school.

During the month of October 2012 Legacy brought in R180, R200 in November and R180 in December totalling R560 for 2012. During January 2013, Legacy brought in R208.30 and R232.38 during February 2013 for the school.

Below are the running costs incurred for the maintenance of We Believe in Eldorado Park (Africa), which the Eldridge Primary School’s Legacy fees paid for as we look to raise funds for the school.
Please note that Eldridge Primary School covered the majority of this cost as McBain Charles did not have enough funding to contribute to the cost of Legacy.

We have also thus far received R150 from your Legacy Deposit Box:

From the end of March we will start to provide the school with a report on all the Legend’s contributions to the school, which will give the school full insight into the funds received for the school and who is investing.

Working closely with our bank, we have discovered that with the type of account we have, we get billed an extra R642.25 per month as a minimum charge for not having enough debits per month. This charge will be eliminated once we have a minimum of 260 debits per month. Currently, we have 65 debits per month for both schools, with 61 of the debits belonging to Eldridge Primary.

We need to find more than 198 Legends to invest into our school to eliminate this charge and bring more funds and resources into McBain Charles Primary School.

We Believe in Eldorado Park (Africa) will also be deducted off the monthly Legacy income, our telephone (R178.50) and internet (R149) charges, as opposed to at the end of every year where we deduce a lump sum for these charges. As stated above, once we enrol more Legends, our Legacy fee will cover all our charges.
