This afternoon session started a three months cycle program. The youth were introduced once again to the vision of WBIEP, and discussed the smile campaign. Today we explored our names, what is your name, what does it mean to you. The youth then shared what their name means to them, from happiness, fun, joyful and special. They were then asked to express their names and its meaning on the colour page of their choice. Classical music was played during their drawing time.

The youth was then given A3 pieces of paper, using the “Walking your crayon” exercise, to express themselves in their own unique way.The final exercise was the most engaging, we played four different songs from R&B, house music, classical and pop music. The youth were asked to close their eyes, and “draw the music”. Allow the music to move their hands and express the beat.

The youth absolutely love this exercise, and once they opened their eyes the air was filled with “Wow’s”. With the change of each song they were asked to change the colour of the crayon. 8 youth attended.
