Today was filled with enthusiasm, flying crayons, crazy running patterns and a soap box. 15 youth joined in, ranging from the age of 4 to 12 “Tell us a story” was concept we explored on this day, after our brief sharing of peace and belief with each other, each child was given a sheet of paper and some crayons and asked to tell us a story of any kind. The images will illustrate to you the lack of infrastructure in our communities, an environment about belief, growth and development.

A center, an environment, a space, a spot, a location of belief; what we called a We Believe in Eldorado Park space.

The boys were at it again sharing crayons through the air waves and picking on each other as the girl and the new kids loved the opportunity to be given a blank sheet of paper filled with endless possibilities awaiting the arrival of their creativity and imagination via a crayon. Most of Darryl’s time was spent keeping the boys apart from each demonstrating the opportunity to increase their personal discipline and respect for each other.

The “soap box” concept inspired the movie “MILK”, where Harvey Milk uses a soap box to recruit people in this community, to a humanity rights movement. The We Believe in Eldorado Park art material box was our soapbox and the kids were ask to share their story from the boxes and…. loved it!! Everyone has a story and needs to share it!!

We will explore this concept further and within the creation of the We Believe in Eldorado Park environments and spaces. Work on your story and we will invite you to share it with us, on a soap box near you!! The Best is yet to COME!! 2069 Belief Beyond Measure!!
